The small hawk landed on a sign post outside the store. She ruffled her feathers as she watched the storefront intently. The clerk watched her nervously and she smirked inwardly, she flew quickly to the store window, landing on a ledge. She made sure that this transformation would be quick and fast, she knew that she would be underscrutiny. Cat stood up and opened the door, the bell rang over the door and she shuddered slightly, thinking of the time her brother had tried to put a bell on her to keep the birds safe. She walked past the stunned clerk and slowly down the aisles. There were a few other people shopping here and that only made her more nervous. She knew that she couldn't mess up right now, if one of these people found the orb they would be in big trouble. She walked over to the fruit section, scanning the lemons, oranges and apples. She walked over to the grapes and sifted through them. She looked around, what else looked orb like? Her eyes fell on the cherries. Practically running to them as she saw a woman scooping cherries into a bag. She noticed the small grey orb in the bag and frowned, she quickly went behind a nearby stand. A few moments later a large grey wolf stalked towards the woman, growling menacingly, hackles raised. The woman practically fainted, dropping her bags and running, screaming. Cat quickly nosed through the bag, finding the cherries she picked out the orb, transforming as fast as she could back to a human, she picked up the orb, holding it in the palm of her hand she looked at it intently.

)( xD Come on people! )(
The appearance and discovery of another orb sent shivers down Kelly's spine, and the girl instantly dematerialized at the temple, rematerializing a few meters behind Cat. Cat's powers had grown over the two year period they'd been apart, and it wasn't hard for Kelly to locate her. That was both a good and bad thing.
Kelly instantly felt her body go numb as she willed herself to be invisible, hoping to observe Cat for a while. It gave her the advantage of surprise, at least, unless Cat concentrated hard enough to sense her..

The hairs rose on the back of her neck, she needn't concentrate hard to sense that presence. Her body went stiff as her hand clenched around the orb, her jaw set firmly, stubborness and hatred clearly showing in her eyes. Glad you could make it. She said sarcastically. She leaned over and picked up a bag of flour from the lady's groceries. Sharp claw like nails easily ripped through the paper, throwing the flour at where she guessed Kelly was. She knew that Kelly had mastered Wizardry, and her intelligent mind quickly calculated that even if Kelly was invisible, her body was still there, the flour would reveal her outline easily. Cat knew that where Kelly was the other Lights were likely to follow, the traitor Riyan, her vile brother Ian, and Aurora with her stupid little dog. (If I don't mention your character its probably because she hasn't met them really )

)( Nice! XD)(
Kelly found a blast of flour coming her way, and lept out of the way - or at least, tried to. It hit her legs and feet, causing her to temporarily lose her concentration, landing on the ground with a thud - completely revealed. The girl stood, completely drenching her legs in water - cold water. She hadn't quite mastered the water techniques yet.
Yeah, you sure sound like it.
Kelly replied, matching sarcasm for sarcasm.
By the way, you dropped something..
Kelly sent the flour (mixed in with a bit of dirt from the nearby flower pots) reeling back towards Cat, noticing with a sense of relief that the day was darkening, and the last customers were leaving the store. A fight with people shooting elements out of their hands wasn't really something she wanted the public to see..

Post by Delos A. Clayr on May 2, 2006 12:01:48 GMT -5
Delos had gotten separated from the rest of the group as they headed to the store, each member branching off. The general idea had been to get inside and find a place to lay low before giving a sneak attack. Unless the Lights had yet to arrive or only one or two had shown up so far. Then it would be a simple grab the orb and run. The Dark’s seemed to prefer going it alone anyway, although Josh made it perfectly clear he expected his orders to be obeyed at all times. Fine by Delos.
The store was easy to locate, it was the only one in the town which had civilians screaming and fleeing from it. He slowly made his way towards the entrance, luckily too many people where freaking out for anybody to spare any attention for him. At least everyone except one do-gooder. The woman that spotted him heading for the shop shrieked at him to turn and run, questioning him about what was the matter with him and the like. The wrench wouldn’t leave him alone and was even running over to him. Faking a look of dawning comprehension and fear he slipped into a darkened side alley, but the bit*h wouldn’t feck off. Crouching down he did the only thing he could think off to get past her short of just sprinting by. Closing his eyes he searched desperately inside himself, feeling and probing for that spark…a whooshing sensation tingled in his stomach, the kind that comes when you miss a step on the stairs. He stopped and tried not to get too excited for fear of losing it, not struggling he let the power come to him. The tingling brushed the edge of his mind…tickling gently before it began to flow through him. His skin seemed to grow hot and his insides felt like they were vibrating, the power was building. He focused now, willing himself to disappear…The woman’s footsteps stopped and he heard surprise and confusion in her voice, disregarding the words in case he lost concentration. Footsteps ran away from the alley.
Opening his eyes he confirmed he was alone before looking at his hands. The invisibility was far from perfect, the space where he was meant to be was see through all right, but the ‘air’ shimmered and waved so the outline of hands could still be seen. Despite this it was good enough for a dark alley when visibility was already poor. The power began to fade and a strange pressure on his head started to take his place.
Guess that’s what I get for not even training before going into a mission…Still I can’t believe it worked! Delos thought to himself, in amazement as he quickly ran through the door of the shop. A girl had her back to him, but Delos had an inkling this was leader of the light Kelly. He could sense her powers from here, the only other who gave off such palpable waves was Josh. If he was lucky, she was too distracted fighting the girl that had kissed Josh, the former cat, to even notice him. His powers hardly strong enough yet to emit a distinctive pulse. Dodging around to the back of a shelf he felt his invisibility completely vanish, so he was perfectly visible again.
A small boy, probably only four years old or so was whimpering quietly in the aisle. Apparently terrified of the battle just on the other side of the ‘Super Saver Spam- 4 cans for the price of 1’. To Delos the boy only meant one thing, hostage! Plus as none of the other lights knew of him yet, and hopefully weren’t as advanced as Kelly, they might think him just a good Samaritan protecting a child, and leave him alone…Time would tell, but for now he had to keep the kid quiet so he wouldn’t give them away. Putting his arm around the kid in a protective manner he pressed his fingers to his own lips to imply the need for quiet.
“Shush kiddo, we don’t wanna get caught by those nasty girls over there, just keep quiet and they’ll leave, then we can find your mommy, OK?” Delos whispered in the child’s ear. Large innocent brown eyes looked up at him and studied him briefly before the young boy nodded, his tiny hands grasping at Delos’ shirt as he tried to huddle close to the strange ‘good guy’ who would help him ‘escape’ from the terror. Crouched down low with his new unwitting captive Delos watched silently through the gaps in the products which lined the shelves.

Aurora stepped into the store quickly, only a little winded from rushing all the way there from the Temple. She too had sensed the orb and had no intention of missing out on all the fun involved in getting it. After all..she remembered the last fight she was in for the orb, and she was anxious to try out her new and improved techniques. She held the door open for a few seconds after she slipped through, leaving time for Eros to slip through. He might prove valuable. Catching sight of Kelly and Cat, and the other stranger, she wandered up to stand beyond Kelly, silently supportive and patiently waiting for the others to arrive.
Eros stood next to Aurora's feet, taking in the sight of the mess and the feel of hostility in the air. That wasn't unusual when Darks and Lights met up, but it put him on alert. Something important was up to bring them together.

Baltasar followed the others, he may not even be sure what he could do, he could help were a stout clout to the head may be needed. He had run parallel to the other people and entered not long after Aurora and her dog. Apart from Aurora he only saw Kelly facing another girl he didn't know, both of whom looked like they were going to kill each other, and some other girl he didn't know.
He moved stood, with his back to the wall that the front door was on, his eyes flicking over the scene and by the looks of the room seemed prepped to explode. Dust and what looked like flour covered the floor. Only as he searched the room did he noticed a flicker of movement behind a row of shelves but it soon stopped and he dismissed it as settling dust. In the end Baltasar thought it best to stay at the back and just watch because he stood no chance against anyone here it seemed.

(hehehe!)
Cat 's quick relexes were the only thing that saved her from the 'dangerous' missile aimed at her. She smirked slightly, A bit rusty Kelly? One of the good things about her powers was that she used them all the time. Unlike fire, or water, which you use once in a while, transformation was her life, when she had to go somewhere, she was a hawk, when she was sneaking, it was a cat. And when she was fighting, well, it depended on her opponent. Her sharp eyes caught Delos's form but said nothing, she would keep an eye on him, not totally trusting him, or anybody for that matter.
She waited as Lily appeared, smirking slightly to herself. Her eyes narrowed though as Aurora appeared, and that dog. She shivered slightly, dogs always bothered her for some reason, and Aurora wasn't exactly her favorite person, she dazed off slightly as she remembered her last real fight, in the train station. She snapped back to reality as the next Light entered. She glanced down to her watch. Josh better get here soon. She mumbled to nobody in particular.

Ian slowly walked into the grocery store, he could have found it with his eyes closed. His face was void of emotion, jaw firmly set though. He stopped next to the dirt and picked up some in his hands, rubbing it over the calloused surface as he remained silent. He stood all the way up. His voice was cool yet calm. I see you got out of the insane asylum. His deep brown eyes bored into his sister's silently. He would never forgive her for killing his dog, for killing Max. His eyes shifted to Kelly slightly, wondering why in the world she was drenched from the waist down.

)(On this account, so I am posting with Riyan first! Lol!)(
The slight throb of its power echoed around her head as she approached the front of the store. She had been feeling a dulled version of this ringing for a while now, but as her hand yanked open the glass door, the burst of energy hit her like walking into a brick wall. She had been around orbs before, why was this one different? Perhaps it was because she had grown in power since then? Shruging it off, Riyan walked towards the chaos already starting to form. She saw the members of her side, and the members of the other. Though someone was missing. Where was their leader? Had Josh left his team to fight his battles for him?
Leaning against the nearest shelf, Riyan waited to be paired up, which was basicly waiting for Josh to show his ugly facade. Her wandering eyes strayed to the one she had been matched up with during her first orb battle, and her most likely adversary in the up coming fight. Cat, feuding with Kelly about some thing that did not entirely catch Riyan's interest. She remembered her raw fury when her bone had snapped in that battle, and that raw fury would now be her main weapon.
)(Sucky, I know... But now I have to post with Josh! That should be even better! Lol...)(

Pushing the swinging glass door inward, Josh marched towards the sound of voices, paying no heed to what the voices were actually saying. Turning to see the rest of the members of his team, and of his sister's, he finally took in the scene at hand. It seemed that Cat and Kelly had had a little arguement, over what, it was not his concern. Josh stopped, waiting for the two to stop their petty mix up before he would speak.
)(Really short, I know...)(
