The small black cat slowly padded into the common room. Her soft sleek fur shone in the dim lighting, emerald orbs scanning the empty room, her neck swiveled as she looked back at the dust prints she had left, a small smile forming in her mind, it had been so long since she had used her powers, she was a bit rusty. She turned back to the room and paused, nares flaring slightly as she caught that familiar scent. Catnip. She quickly padded to the couch and round one of the bags Josh had bough for her. She clawed at it angrily, soon getting it open she began rubbing her face in it and biting at it. Cat looked up silently. She wished again for the times of before. She especially missed Josh, he had been the kind of boy she would actually stay with. With most boys she was simply there when it pleased her. But Josh seemed to have had a hold on her. A long slow whine came from her vocals, a kind of calling her friends, or even just her peers. She didn't know what had happened to them, after she had been put in the insane asylum...

The girl had never really known the other Darks, had in fact barely begun to scratch the surface of exploring the place, getting used to the idea of being in a group setting, or any of the things that would come with an introduction to the way of the warriors before it had all ended. Things had changed drastically for Lily in such a short time. She had arrived, only to be whisked away again without so much as an ounce of power or knowledge to show for it, and now she was back. Nails tapped idly at her jean-clad hips, the chipped blue paint gleaming in the light. Auburn hair spilled around her face in a straight fall to stop between her shoulderblades. There was something about this place that drew her, something that had called her back despite how little she knew of it and its inhabitants, desptie the belief that there would be nothing to find her. And yet..Here it was, it hadn't changed. Stepping through the doorway and into the common room, bright blue gaze narrowed thoughtfully as it passed over the room. She had only been there once, and then- like now- she had known of no other presences. But unlike the time past, she would not call out timidly. She would calmly find her own way, until someone showed up. Or rather, that was the plan until she heard the whining sound of an animal. Head tilted lightly as she tried to hear, listening for the sound to come again..

Her sensitive ears picked up the sound of alien feet on the floor. Her body stiffened immediately, a low warning growl from her vocal chords. How dare somebody trespass in this place? It had been her only one true home. Led muscles tightened before she lept down from the couch, she was barely visible in the dim lighting, but her emerald orbs were something she could not hide. Soft pads slowly crossed the floor, orbs narrowed as she finally spotted the girl, pupils now like slits. She stood in the shadows for a moment, watching the girl silently, seizing her up. She was of similar age, that was certain. Cat slowly padded closer, assured now that she wasn't a friend of the girl she hated most in the world. She didn't know where Josh had gone to, but she would protect the orb they had won, and their temple until he returned. She slowly began rubbing her side against the girl's legs, appearing in all respects, except her eyes of course, a normal cat. But she was the farthest thing from it.

[OOC: For a moment there I thought I was in the wrong RP forum. Thank God I read your profile Cat because I really thought this had turned out to be an animal RP. The description of his clothes, for now, is in the OOC thread]
His thin eyebrows furrowed at the surprising state of the Temple Floor, which was apparently left empty and indifferent for the next willing batch of members to follow. Well, Ulysses wasn't exactly 'Evil' material but how could he not resist the temptation of gatecrashing into a jacuzzi party where the greatest minds of his time would lounge in the bubbly froth of machiavellian intelligence. But there was no jacuzzi party. And there were no evil minds to mingle around with.
Ulysses's meticulous scanning of the entire room with his slate-grey eyes managed to uncover was a small black cat (probably an unlucky one at best) and another coppertop four to five years his junior. A small sigh passed through his disappointed lips as he tried to strike some noise through the deafening silence. After all, nothing was more pathetic than to have a stray cat and a lone woman wandering in a disused Temple that had "Free Food" posted on the front door.
"So, uh, when do we get our membership cards and have our 10% discount at the local burlesque house?" Tact, he thought. Dammit, tact. "I mean, umm...What I meant to say was, umm, is it just us?"

Lily glanced down as she felt fur rubbing against her legs, somehow not suprised to spot the feline. In the back of her mind was the memory that there had been a warrior with transformation, yet she had never known the girl. Before she could make her mind how best to respond to the creature, at whose eyes she had not glanced, the footsteps of another grabbed her attention. Turning her head, eyes locked thoughtfully upon the boy as he spoke. One brow arched almost elegantly as she shook her head silent amusement. "Seems deserted to me. Other than us."she responded vaguely, gesturing between them and to the cat as well.

The cat's fur twitched slightly as it slowly stood up, her spine arching as she hissed menacingly at him, green orbs glaring into his, obviously not those of a stray. She easily morphed back into a human. Her fur slowly disappeared as she concentrated on who she was. 5'11", 150 lbs.... Blonde hair... green eyes. She slowly opened her eyes, she looked at this man with a cold calculating stare. She may be a bit younger than him, but she was his superior in both powers and dealing with the dark side. No. She practically snarled, d**n, she had forgotten to morph her teeth again, her tongue slightly slid across the sharp tips, oh well. She always thought she looked better with a bit of the wild side still on her. Who are you. Cat said, her voice edged with danger, she did not take kindly to trespassers.

Lily sidestepped quickly in suprise as the cat suddenly became a person. Though she knew that it was possible, and even probable, she still hadn't been prepared for it. Letting out a quiet sigh, and pretending she hadn't been at all startled, she looked between the girl and the boy. She knew neither of them, obviously, and she didn't like the girl's attitude, but judging by it..she could tell she was much less powerful than this stranger. And that made her careful of her next words. "Hi. I'm Lily."she told the girl, friendly enough not to seem rude, but not too sweet either.
((Ew..Not a pretty post..))

She turned to the girl again, a slight smile of her lips now. Hello Lily. I am Cat. She paused slightly as she scanned the other girl. What power? She asked as she subconsiously licked her lips. Twisting a ring on her right ring finger, habitually. It had a garnet in the middle, with strange symbols around the gem. The metal was a silver and steel alloy, almost impossible to destroy.

"Nice to meet you."Lily responded automatically. While the words might ring true, they were uttered more from automatic response than any real attempt to be polite. She had simply always been told this was the proper thing to say in an introduction, and it was a habit that had carried on with her always. "Earth."came the next word, responding to Cat's question. Simple, direct. What else was there to say on the subject? What good was elaboration? No one needed to know that she was woefully undertaught and that her power was -at best- weak?

Ulysses always had something (in)appropriate to say - something (non)meaningful - on the issues and affairs at hand. Of course he would relish the moment and jump enqueue but his mischevious, yet inquisitive eyes, fell on the most graceful of transformations: from the proverbial black cat into a more...well...Ulysses couldn't discern whether if she was the leader of this ragged outfit. After all, her terse and probably brusque questions directed at the coppertop hadn't really delved into the more, "Oh, let's gather what we can and proceed to plan A," frame of mind.
Since the odd corny and sleazy commet failed to 'appease' the intelligent sort he quietly moved towards the disused cabinets. Old, heavily dusted with the unknown flakes of human skin that has moved through this place and littered with more recent cobwebs from corner to corner, the cabinet was the only inanimate object that really stood out within the main room. Ulysses knew from the inital moment he stepped into what was supposed to be a party that this was the Evil Den's powerpoint of operations. Their war room and party room all lined up into one. Next to the pool table, which was protectively covered by a stained white sheet, was their board filled with previous plans upon plans to which they would mount their offensives. Against good, he presumed, as he carefully cracked the cabinet doors open.
It creaked, with unsurprising results, to a series of empty shelves which should've been something to drink. An utter disappointment in his own mind. Mindlessly interrupting their (stuttered) conversations, he inquired, "I really thought there'd be a secret stash where the evil men and women would hide their typical evil drinks. But seriously! I was promised free food. Free food!"

She looked to the boy, anger growing. She wasn't exactly known for having an even temperment. She walked to him slowly, fingering her ring again as she glared at him. Shutup snoop! This isn't a food pantry. That's the next temple over, the Lights. This is the Dark Temple... She practically snarled at him, her eyes growing dangerously cloudy as she watched him angrily.

Lily rolled her eyes at the boy as he searched the room and cabinet, shaking her head silently in amused irritation. This wasn't her home, really-yet anyway- and so she felt she had no right to really be bothered by his manner. But still..it was so rude! "What kind of idiot are you?"she snapped out impatiently. "Coming in here and nosing around like you own the place?" But that was all she said, and all she would say until she was sure of Cat's reaction. She was obviously important here, and no way was Lilly going to get on her bad side.

Quick to coppertop's response, he cheekingly added, "I'm that idiot who snoops through people's cabinets for snacks and alcoholic beverages. I know, not the most original but hey, you can't go bonkers to your fellow member like that."
Ulysses carefully closed the cabinet doors with the same minimal noise when he first intrusively opened them. He could sense the sheer anger and distaste from 'Catwoman' without the need to look into her dangerously clouded eyes. It unnerved him, if only for a moment, at the shocking reality about Ulysses himself, whether he liked it or not. His unusually carefree and open heart had now been perversely invaded with the raging aura that was projected from 'Catwoman'. And now all he could ever think of is how to appease to her without offending her.
He sighed, with deep regret for his internal musings and apologetically said, "I won't touch the empty cabinet again."
Suddenly, he changed tack and gleefully commented on her 'evil expressions'. "Maybe if you winked more or used a sexy voice. Becuase the whole 'macho-evil' persona is such a cliche."

Cat glared at him silently simmering. But his last comment waqs over the line. I can be sexy. But you aren't exactly my type. Only one guy has ever been my type. She approached him dangerously. But suddenly she stopped. Good God he sounds like me talking to Kelly. She shook her head slightly to clear her mind, not doing her any good but she had to try. Food is in the kitchen idiot. She said before suddenly turning and walking into another room.

[OOC: Sorry Miss Wolfe]
As 'Catwoman' proudly departed into the anterooms Ulysses couldn't help but incite further tensions with another prompted grin and a sly remark. "It's okay, Catwoman. I don't find you attractive either and, between you and me, I don't date minors."
Dating...when was the last time Ulysses had ended up in a relationships? Behind the cheeky glances and smiling eyes - behind the outwardly comic personality - bore a sinister and calloused memory he had sorely wanted to remove from his overworked brain cells. Each synapse driven through the regular balance of ions within his acutely responsive nervous system told him that things had just started to fall into motion since his (untimely) presence within the temple.
Ulysses may be the oldest person within the near-deserted temple right now and he might appear to be a literal joker and purveyor of unsynchronistic witty remarks. But each of his actions has served a unique purpose - a purpose which only to Ulysses will carry out right to the very death.
Just about when he was to slump down the plushy, yet dusty couches to discern his next meal, he subtlely noticed 'Coppertop's' disapproval against to him, his responses and his untimely presence.
Amicably, he turned around and asked, "So, you new here too?"
