Fingertips tapped idly against her arms as she stood in a pose of arrogant calm, eyeing both Cat and Ulysses quietly and thoughtfully, right up until the moment that the other girl suddenly strode from the room. Though she couldn't say she liked this boy's attitude, neither could she say she absolutely hated it. At least he would amuse her,as it seemed he would be one of the ones to stir up alittle trouble now and then. However much she was looking forward to the doubtless unavoidable spectacle, she retained her dissapproving and cool demeanor as bright eyes followed his movements.
"Yep."she responded easily to his question, quiet and easy tone at odds with her previous dissapproving looks. Lily was indeed a paradox, a maze of confusions and complexities. Which was exactly how she preferred to be. To have anyone know you too well could be dangerous. It was a formidable weapon in the wrong hands, as she had always been taught. Moving across the room, she settled herself lazily onto the cushions of a plushy chair, swinging one leg languidly over the side and resting her cheek against the other arm rest. It was a supremely restful position, and comfortable as well.
((That's okay.^_^))

Ulysses chucked, "What? You're just going to sit there while I get us something to eat? I mean, jeez woman. You could be a bit more sociable and helpful than to lay your fat ass on that superior couch of yours."
He quickly ducked into the kitchen to scounge whatever he could find in a matter of seconds. It's hard to discern whether there was food from face value given the disreputable state of the kitchen. But he knew in his mind that this place had not had a decent chef (and maid) for more than a few months.
Empty pots and pans once deemed 'Stainless Steel' and 'Teflon Coated' had now layered itself with greasy stains and burnt marks. Microwavable dishes that were lucky not to have any cracks collected mould and mildew. Some of them with the priviledge of having hideous insects - maggots and all - still picking off the remnants of the last supper. Nothing in the kitchen was worth salvaged and yet each of them had the second chance of becomming tomorrow's decorations for their next dinner feast.
Ulysses looked towards the pantry and hoped to God Almighty that there was at least something worth eating (for now). "Hey Coppertop? You feel like for some Men's Pocky? Or are you hungry for some Tia Maria Tim Tams?"

Cat walked into her old room. Slowly her vivid orbs scanned the room, picking up the minute details that only she could see about her room. Walking slowly to her bed she stripped the sheets and blankets, putting them in a laundry hamper. She walked to the dresser, pulling out all the drawers and emptying the clothes into the hamper as well, closing them with a loud bang she walked to the closet, prying open the door and barely avoiding being taken out by a stack of books, she cursed silently to herself. Taking the books one by one she sorted them. A few she decided to get rid of, never having been a fan or, or merely because they no longer interested her. These she packed up in a cardboard box and put it on the top shelf in her closet. She took the other books, those she liked, and replaced them on the bookshelf. She sneezed as she inhaled some dust and frowned as she looked around the room again. Taking the hamper she walked down the hall to the washing machine, putting the clothes in and setting the timer. Getting the vaccum cleaner she dragged it down the hall and plugged it in, vaccumming her bedroom, under her bed and desk.

Lily's eyes narrowed sharply as he spoke, the dissapproving and cold expression finding its way back to her face. Lifting with a deceptive laziness to her elbows, she watched him thoughtfully before speaking in a waspish tone. "Why should I help you? I don't really care wether or not you starve while I'm here."she pointed out. After that she was quiet, watching as he rummaged through the kitchen. Perhaps if she had been asked she might have helped, but part of her found it just so amusing to watch him search and search for food. "Coppertop?"she spoke in a breezy, slightly disdainful tone for the name. Then, shaking her head she just responded to his question." Neither, thanks."

His head rested against the cool glass of the window, every shake and rattle the train made passing through into him, but he took no notice. Stifling a yawn the teenage boy glanced around himself, an old lady was watching him uneasily, mistrust clear on her face. How she could pass judgment on him without even speaking to him he had no idea, he looked like any other teenager. At least he couldn’t see any real differences when he glanced at his reflection, dressed casually in a simple black shirt and jeans he had no tattoos or piercing, nor any other telltale signs of a ‘rowdy teenager’. No, the only difference was in his eyes, there was no hesitancy, none of the vapid emptiness normally prevalent in the gaze of an adolescent, the only other that had that self assuredness was that guy ‘Josh’…
Other than the old woman and himself the only occupants of this compartment were a mother and her small child, who began to scream nosily for sweets at the next stop. Suppressing a sigh Delos upped the volume on his Zen, pushing it to nearly full blast. Every beat of the drums, every note of the singer’s voice pounded into his ear drums, making them ache, yet it was still better than hearing why a packet of skittles and a can of coke were of the utmost importance. The world passed by outside, fields and forests giving way to small villages which in turn gave way to more fields and more forests. The train clunked rhythmically, the steady pulse making his eyelids droop, it had been such a long journey, and the glass was so nice and cool.
He awoke to the rough shaking of a conductor, looking eager to get him off the train, which Delos dimly noted had stopped moving. Outside was a station, with a sign bearing the name ‘Keoko’. This was the place. Standing up he felt a sudden rush of warmth spread to his limbs, while his spine cracked back into place. Rubbing his eyes with one hand and reaching for his backpack with the other he thought about how he had come to be here, and where he was going. That kid, Josh…He’d told Delos about what they both were, about what they could both do. The power lying dormant within him, he’d been assured the key to unlocking it lay at the Dark Temple. Throw in the place to sleep and the food and Delos was sold. He was not there yet. One more train journey, a small one and then he’d finally have arrived.
He headed towards the lights, moving easily and with confidence through the dark night which surrounded him. The last hour had been uneventful, merely waiting for the train and boarding it, then leaving. The walk was refreshing after a long time cooped up on both plane and train, indeed Delos was sorely tempted to just walk on and come back in an hour or so. He did not. Pushing open the heavy ebony door to the main building of the temple he followed the sound of voices to a lit room. Walking in he saw a girl around his age talking to someone evidently in the adjoining room. His eyes swept the place, taking in the appalling dust and grime which had accumulated.
Great…It’s a hole…All that power and evidently Josh can’t find a vacuum and duster. He thought, but corrected himself when he heard the faint sounds of yes, a vacuum cleaner in one of the other rooms.
Hmm, this place may be inhabitable after all if it’s getting a clean, alright I retract my earlier thought.
Locking eyes with the girl in the room he stared, not blinking, testing her to see how easily unnerved she was. By way of greeting he gave a simple, “Hey, I’m Delos.”

Cat perked up as she heard footsteps on the stairs, intently listening she heard the door creak open, d**n, she would have to fix it. When she saw Josh she would have to get him to enchant the temple. She turned off the vaccum cleaner and sat down on her bed, slowly concentrating she began to meditate. Her body relaxed as her brain activity increased, she carefully focused on the simple image, the one that was her. Her form slowly shrunk as black silken hair slowly appeared, ears migrated up her skull, to the top of her head, their curved shape slowly changing as they became more triangular, nose receeded deeper into her face, leaving only a small pinkness, surrounded by a sea of black. Her lengthy blond hair had long disappeared, and her sharp teeth once again appeared. Small bristles formed on her tongue, to aid with hygeine and coat matinence. Nail slowly disappeared into her cuticles as her fingers shrunk, to become small little pads, her thumb shifting to opposite her other fingers. The shifting bones in her legs and arms were no longer as painful as they had once been, simply a slight tingling sensation. Sharp retractable claws slid from their sheaths as she silently kneaded the bed. The only thing that did not change during her transformation, was her eyes. Still a vivid green, her eyes had always resembled those of a cat, even from birth. Her muscles tightened slightly and she quickly jumped to the ground, padding down the hall silently until she came into the main room once more. Extremely intelligent eyes fell on the newcomer, she sat back on her haunches and watched him silently, looking straight into his eyes. If she knew anything, it was that almost nothing could startle her.

[OOC: LOL, Lily. That's somewhat cold. But I'm laughing regardless. And I can't believe every post I make is prone to re-editing. That might be a good sign.]Meanwhile, Ulysses managed to cram as much confectionary and sweets as he could between his two arms. It was a labouring task to play 'Pack Rat' between his arms and chest but the spectre of coming back here was not on Ulysses's current agenda. He waddled through the kitchen, like the duck he is not, and back into the main common room where 'Coppertop' was laying languid in her own comfort. He knew could sense a small smirk across her face. Just sitting there, without a care in the world to, at least, help this poor bastard. Yes, aren't you the caring type... He's dealt with care all through his life. It's something he cannot avoid, even if he had the will and desire to deny the small and simple act. Quite contradicting considering where he's ending up at the moment but nothing could be far from the truth. Not every side was as clear cut and justifingly simple as the words "Light" and "Dark" may seem. Still, it would've been nice had 'Coppertop' given him a hand with the towering Pocky and Tim Tams loaded before him. Conceding to his predicament, he strenuously tried to get his levelled words across to the foreign voice (That was not Coppertop's). " I'm Ulysses. And, umm, would you give me a hand here? It'd be nice, you know, fulfil one good deed and help your Karma and all."

((Lol, it is, isn't it?^_^))
Bright blue eyes shifted lazily to the newcomer, an expression of cunning calculation and curiousity held within the depths. Gaze remained fixed upon his intently, amused at his attempt to stare her down. "Hello, Delos. I'm Lily."she replied easily. Her attention shifted from him only when Ulysses reemerged and spoke. Hand flicked the copper tresses of her hair out of her face but she didn't bother to move, mostly because she was still insulted and stung by his earlier words- and since he hadn't actually asked for her help, but rather insinuated that she should have automatically offered it. "You know, if you were a bit more polite, I might have helped."she practically purred, as if she were enjoying his predicament. She wasn't really, and in her own way she had sort of offered her assistance, but wasn't about to do much more unless asked.

Delos smirked when he saw Lily return his stare in kind. Not willing to be the first who looked away they were both distracted when the guy Lily must have been talking to moments before, entered the room. However he was lost from view behind a mountain of sugary snacks.
That kid would explode in glee if he saw all this…Still, what the hell is a Tim Tam and a Pocky? Delos thought, recalling the over hyped toddler as he once more scanned the room.
A cat was staring him down now, looks like the Dark were big on these contests. Sheesh. There was something creepy about the cat though, every feline looked like it was plotting global domination, but he’d never met one with such a knowing stare. Words floated across the room, and Delos took a moment to realise they were directed at him. Eyebrows flying straight up at the mention of his karma he winked at the cat before turning to face the sugar man…Ulysses. Shrugging Delos walked over and relieved him of about half the load.
“Where do we put them?” He asked.
Yeah, this outta balance things out. Said a sarcastic voice in his mind.

The small feline redirected her blatant gaze to Ulysses. She growled slightly and swift paws padded along the carpeting, each step stirring up a bit of the dirt and dander in the confines of the synthetic forest. Almost languidly she stopped in front of a small hutch, razor sharp teeth grasping onto the metallic handle, she could taste it in her mouth, iron she guessed, for it reminded her of blood. The door easily swung open and she quickly padded down the narrow tunnel, too long for a human to reach into. She finally came to the hook, jaws firmly grasped the key ring as she turned around in the very narrow area, padding back and exiting the tunnel. She dropped the keychain next to a locked cabinet, moving all the keys but one to one side. The key that remained was the key to the cabinent, which contained tons of non-perishables including canned cat food, condensed milk, corn, beans, pasta, tomato sauce, macaroni & cheese, as well as random other instant foods or microwavable dishes.

)(Woah... Didn't know this was here.... I guess I should post! Warning: I will probally RP TOTALLY differen't then the last Josh, Lol, but I will try!)(
Short nailed fingers brushed the hard wood of the door, effortlessly pushing inward and 'cause the walk way into the room to once more open. Completely ignoring the squeak of the hinges, he set one foot infront of the other, making his way into the now inhabited commen room. He knew his old 'team' was in the room before he had entered, almost feeling their presences' as he had started to approach. He knew they were there, but paid them no attention.
Dropping himself into an arm chair, he completely emurged himself in thought. We have the Fire orb, they have the Light. He had repeated this many times to himself over the past weeks. While his team had been in their own seperate places, he had kept to his quest, searching for one of the undescovered orbs. Yet so far, he had had no luck.
)(OMG!!! It sucks SOOO MUCH!! I have to rush off to softball practice right now!! I will try to improve it when I get back!!)(

Her feline head suddenly jerked up as she heard the footsteps outside. Seeing Josh her orbs dilated slightly, ears twitching. She padded to him quickly, crouching on her haunches before leaping up to the arm chair, she slowly climbed up his body, careful not to let her claws dig into his skin. She rested on his shoulders, purring slightly as she began nudging his neck. She had missed Josh a lot. He was the only one she truly cared about in this world and she had been even more iritable without him. Mind you, she was no light heart just because her 'love' was around, but she did relax some. Her pink tongue snaked out and licked the back of his neck where his hair was short.

[OOC: LOL Lily. I think it's clear we all need nicknames for our characters that would crawl under our skins]
His constant smile and relaxed composure, despite the heavy load of sweets being distributed 'evenly' between himself and 'Del', had washed itself away. The all-too-familiar sounds of non-perishable foods clamouring up on top of each other after being subjected to a lifetime of crammed storage had made its way through to his acute ears. Ulysses unconsciously dropped everything he had on him and incredulously stared through the lies and deceit 'Catwoman' had just played on him.
Oh, that Cat is just evil, he ironically thought. Okay, puns aside and the irony behind this place. She is evil! Blah!
Ulysses hastily tore through the entire common room with his slate-grey eyes, already filled the pent up frustration at seeing no food in the dank kitchens. However, aside from 'Del's' Caucasian face and 'Coppertop's' equally charming looks, was another member sitting in the common room. It was as if he was meant to be there in the first place. Ulysses knew right there that they were back in business. Even if the cat was lying next to him in such a protective manner.
"It's been a while," he said, with such formality. "I always thought you'd land yourself in some God-Forsaken country or somewhere in the Demilitarized zone. But, hey, that's just me assuming here."

((Right-o Uly. I'll have to think up something for Lils to call Ulysses then.))
Lily couldn't help but snicker slightly and smirk in amusement as Cat revealed a cabinet full of unperishable foods. They had been there all the while, locked away, while Ulysses had scoured the kitchen. "Aw..Poor thing.. All that effort for nothing.."she said serenely, doing her best immitation of thinly-veiled humor to stamp out all traces of empathy. It was funny, but she also felt alittle bad for the guy. Gaze slipped to Josh as he entered the room, and as Cat climbed up to his shoulder, but she made no other reaction to his presence. In fact, she seemed to grow bored of the room rather quickly. Or atleast, that was how she played it off. Lily wasn't fond of big groups, and though there were only five of them...she still would prefer to be in a less-populated setting. "Well..I can see it's getting sort of crowded in here so...If you need me I'll be brushing up on a few skills." she said serenely, gracefully moving from her comfortable chair and moving toward the door.

((OOC: Gah! NO! Not, never and no way ‘Del’! *Sob*))
Delos was a tad non-plussed that after he had relieved Ulysses of approximately half oh his load, that he merely dropped it anyway. Shrugging Delos let his fall right on top of Ulysses’ pile. There wasn’t any place better for them than the floor right now anyway. The teen studied Josh again when he entered the room, the air picking up an almost electric feel simply from Josh’s presence. Delos didn’t say a word, he merely watched the rest of them and the cat. His eyes followed Lily out of the room before flicking back to Josh and the cat. Leaning against a wall he waited for Josh to respond to Ulysses’ statement.
